I think the world record needs to be updated. There are plenty of people on nitrotype. Now since I learned touch typing I can legit type wpm on average. I think touch typing is totally worth it in the long run as long as you practice. My new goal is to average wpm soon. It has a lot more sentences to type, making it faster to learn and has better accuracy for figuring out WPM.
